All About Hair and Faces! - BrainBoozle Educational Resource

Understanding Hair Types

In this lesson, we will learn about different types of hair and faces. Hair can look different based on how it grows. Let’s explore some important terms!

Beards and Moustaches

A beard is hair that grows on a man’s chin and cheeks. Example: Santa Claus has a long white beard. On the other hand, a moustache is hair that grows above a man’s upper lip. Example: My father shaves his beard, but he keeps his moustache.

Hair Color

Next, we have hair colors. Dark hair means the hair is black or brown. Example: Most people in my family have dark hair. In contrast, light hair is blonde or very pale. Example: The girl with the light hair is from Sweden.

Different Hair Styles

Hair can also be styled in various ways. Curly hair twists into rings, circles, or waves. Example: She has beautiful curly hair that bounces when she walks. On the other hand, straight hair hangs down smoothly without any curls. Example: I use a brush to make my straight hair look neat.

Face Shapes

Now, let’s talk about faces! A round face is shaped like a circle and is not long or thin. Example: Babies usually have a cute round face. This describes how someone’s face can look.

Body Types

We also describe people using words like tall, fat, thin, and more. Tall means measuring a long way from the ground to the top. Example: Basketball players are usually very tall. For some, we use the word fat to describe a heavy body. But for people, it is kinder to say heavy or chubby. Example: My cat eats too much, so he is a little fat. Finally, thin means having a small body. Example: The runner is very thin because he exercises every day.
